About Us
Hey there, I’m Kelly Willis, the guy behind Willis Aerial Imagery — part creative visionary, part drone nerd, and part nursing professor who somehow manages to juggle both teaching and capturing them beautifully on camera.
I was born and raised in Oregon, and for the past six years, the Oregon Coast has been my home base — a place where misty mornings, dramatic skies, and endless shorelines constantly remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. I’ve been holding a camera for about 20 years, and flying drones for 10. Let’s just say, I’ve learned how to crash less and create more.
Over the past four years in business, I’ve completed more than 300 shoots — from real estate listings that help homes sell faster, to weddings filled with laughter (and sometimes tears), professional headshots that actually look human, boudoir sessions that celebrate confidence and beauty, and business promo videos that make local brands shine.
As a nursing professor, precision, communication, and compassion are second nature — and I bring those same traits into every shoot.
Whether I’m balancing on a sand dune to get the perfect aerial of a beach house, or helping a nervous client feel comfortable in front of the camera, my goal is always the same: to capture something real.
Photography, for me, isn’t just about fancy gear or perfect lighting (though I’m definitely guilty of geeking out over both). It’s about connection — between people, places, and moments that matter. I believe every project deserves that “wow” factor, whether it’s a drone shot that makes your property look like it belongs in a magazine, or a portrait that finally makes you like being in photos.
